Am I right in thinking you can run normal Cat5 with SWA because the metal in armour stops EMF?

The armour is for protection not stopping EMF.

should not be run together and segregated as they are different voltage bands, unless all cables are rated for the higher voltage band.

 

all your cabling should be installed to BS7671
