Accord XPC

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Recently moved into a house with a nameless-ly installed Accord XPC panel. Having double glazing put in next week, and need to temporaily remove/disable the vibration sensors on the windows. I've been told that if I unscrew their covers, a day tamper alarm will sound. How's the best way to stop this from happening?

If I remove the covers whilst the panel is in engineer mode (managed to find XPC install manual on web), will the day tamper still sound? Or if I change the zone to be not used, in full, part and night sets will the panel just ignore the tamper?

Hope you can help

cheers

hi dazcm

if you have the engineers code then the bes thing to do is just program the zone to not used. then when your windows are fitted re instate them as they were good luck

Thanks for the info. The engineer code is (luckily) still set to the default. Would I have to set the zones to not used in all three (full, part and night) sets?

Also, before I wake up the night shift worker next door, can you confirm that day tampers do not sound in engineer mode?

cheers

program the zones to not used in full/part/night and that will save any problems. a tamper wont sound in engineer mode but will show a fault when you take it out of engineering. so program the zones to not used and it will go back to day mode. hope this is ok for you mate
