July 9, 200322 yr comment_1307 I have a problem with a Scantronic 9450 installed by a previous house owner via a defunct installation company. There is an arming fault and I want to disable the unit to check it but the engineer code contains a 9 which is a faulty pushbutton on the keypad. There were two 9s in the original entry code which I changed - probable reason for the faulty key now. Any ideas how I can disarm the unit so that I can check inside the panel? Are replacement keypads still available? July 9, 200322 yr comment_1320 B) Hi there I didn't think the 9750 panel could take remote keypads, If you open the lid the alarm will go of inside the house just put the user code in and that will shut it up, You can now look inside to your harts content, Just don't knock the tamper spring or it will go off again. When finished close the lid and reset as normal. Hope this is a little help to you. July 9, 200322 yr comment_1321 Your right Adrian, there was no remote option on them. I think the guy is looking for a replacement membrane for the panel. :?: Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/283-scantronic-9450-disarm/#findComment-1321 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 10, 200322 yr comment_1325 Thanks for the replies but I am trying to find out how to bypass the engineer code which contains a 9 which is faulty on the panel keypad so I cannot disarm the panel. Is it possible to reset the panel by any other means or do I have to disconnect all mains and battery power ignoring the sirens and bells which will go off in tamper mode?
