Patio door sensor

Featured Replies

We are having our patio door replaced with french windows soon(uPVC). The patio door has a sensor on it.

This will need to be changed to a different type of sensor I assume.

My questions are

1) Is this a DIY job or do I need to call out the engineer?

2) How much can I expect to pay to have it done?

3) Should the work be done before after or during the installation of the door?

The system is a TS410

Any advice would be gratefully received

Well The sensor will have to be removed before the new patio door works are carried out, then either a new sensor (favorite idea) fitted or the old one re fitted (Cheapskate idea) once the door works are complete

Question is do you have the necessary skills to do the work?

If not its man in a van time :red:
