November 16, 200817 yr Author comment_216649 We arranged for the manufacturer to come to site to see a real-life example of the problems we are having. Their rep was also unimpressed with the appearance of the boards and originally said that this may be contributing to the problem. After taking a few away for testing, however, they have discovered that the microswitch for the tamper is faulty on all the samples taken from site. They are now moving to a different manufacturer for the microswitches. I must say thet KP have been very helpful, and admitting that there is a problem is very refreshing. One hint they did give is that the spring on the microswitch must make directly with the cover. If the spring is slightly off centre or bent, these problems arise. Which means keeping the cover parallel whilst fitting it to the back-plate - not always possible. to all for comments.
