Guest tdicky43
Can someone please help me, I had to disconnect my powerpad over the weekend as the were decorating but when i re-connected the wires again the unit was dead. The main control box looks fine (fuses etc) but it looks like the power pad has been locked off in some way. How do i reset the system? The lights on the wall mounted boxes are flashing at the moment and i really want to sort this asap. Look forward to receiving a reply, Richard Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2433-veritas-8-no-power-to-powerpad/ Share on other sites
Guest dale
Sounds as though you might have blown the fuse to the RKP. If you think you are upto the job, then disconnect the mains power to the unit from the spur at the side of the end station, then remove the end station cover, and disconnect the battery. The alarm should now be going off...but ignore it. Now inside the panel there might be a small bag of fuses, if not you will need to buy a 500mA, 250V, 20mm fuse. Replace the fuse marked F4, with the new fuse. Check to make sure that the RKP +ve/-ve is connected the right way round, and reconnect the battery.... now put the cover back on the end station, and reconnect the mains.... enter your pin number and check to see if the RKP is back alive. It would be less scary just to call an engineer and pay them to do this for you, then they could service it for you as well. Hope this helps Dale Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2433-veritas-8-no-power-to-powerpad/#findComment-14555 Share on other sites
