Guest jane
I inherited this system when we bought our house. We have found it works well but recently we had a power cut in oour street which caused the outside alarm to be activated. I was unable to stop it and it did only stop when the electricity was restored. Luckily this was a short power cut, but surely there must be a way to override it in the event of a power cut. Any suggestions please? Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2343-ck-securitech-securit-700l/ Share on other sites
Guest simmo
Jane, Sounds like you need a new battery in your panel. If you are not confident in checking/changing this, pop your location on the forum and somebody local can have a look. When was the last time it was serviced? Guest jane
we've lived here for over 2 years and it hasn't been serviced during this time. I would like it serviced/looked at. How do I go about finding someone to do this? Guest simmo
Jane, Various ways to find an installer, hopefully somebody on the forum close to you will pop up and offer their details. Failing that try and get a recommendation, or check out some bell boxes in the local area for telephone numbers. Or there is always the trusty old Yellow Pages. Guest Martin
Hi, I too have a problem with a Securit 700L alarm panel. We had a power cut and the alarm sounded and we couldn't shut it down. Then when the power was restored the alarm immediately stopped but now the Mains indicator LED is not lit, the buttons beep when you press them but the unit won't accept the code to arm the alarm. The unit looks dead but it definately has power because it beeps and the buttons light up. Could this also be the battery? Please can you forward answers by e-mail to martin@pluves.com? I found this discussion through google and I don't visit here regularly. Thanks Martin Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2343-ck-securitech-securit-700l/#findComment-15224 Share on other sites
