I HAVE A SCANTRONIC 500R+ WIRELRESS SYSTEM INSTALLED 2 YEARS I AM CURRENTLY DECORATING 1 DOOR THE DOOR SENSOR OF THE DOOR WHILE I DECORATED. WHILE IT WAS OFF THE OUTSIDE BELL WENT OFF I PUT THE DOOR SENSOR BACK IN SITU TRIED TO RESET THE ALARM BUT COULD NOT THE CONTROL PANEL DOES NOT BEEP WHEN I PRESS THE KEYS THE ALARM PANEL WAS KILLED BY KILLING THE POWER AND BACKUP BATTERY TO THE OUTSIDE BOX THE SENSOR WAS OFF THE DOOR FOR ABOUT 90MINUTES
