Leader Systems are a BAFE SP203 approved, NSI Fire Gold accredited company providing a complete in-house bespoke design, install, commission and maintenance solution for fire, safety systems, CCTV, access control, intruder either as standalone or fully integrated systems.

Leader Systems are a company expanding through organic growth, and are based in Rugby, Warwickshire and cover the whole of the UK.

Leader Systems have a vacancy for a multi skilled engineer to join our commissioning team. Predominantly fire, however preference will be given to those candidates who also have some experience of Intruder, CCTV & Access Control systems. Suitable candidates should reside within Northants, Warks, Oxon, Leics, Herts, West Cambs, South Notts. Generally an 80 mile radius of Rugby.

We are looking for someone available to start Monday 18th February or as soon as possible thereafter. Skill sets listed below.

Equipment knowledge: Fire

Advanced MX range of panels - Commissioning and basic software

Multialarms MultiIfax / Ifax 95 - Commissioning and basic software

Ctec AFP / XFP / Sigtel / Quantec - Commissioning and basic software

Conventional fire alarm panels in general - Commissioning

Wagner ASD - Commissioning

Firebeam - Commissioning

Apollo & Hochiki Protocol experience

Equipment knowledge:

Intruder / CCTV / Access (preferred although not essential)

Honeywell Galaxy - Commissioning and software

Paxton Switch 2 and Net 2 - Commissioning

Pelco cameras - Commissioning

Vista - NVR's & DVR's

Technical skills:

Cable fault finding. Open & short circuits. Earth faults.

PC literate

Can do basic survey for small / additional works and provide accurate written reports

Has some installation ability, to the extent of adding one or two extra heads on an existing system. (Preferred but not essential)

Personal skills:

Highly motivated to succeed

Works well on his / her own but can also integrate with the existing team

Not 'dyed in the wool' fire alarm engineer. Must be willing to learn new skills and new ways of working.

Good oral communicator

Well presented

Flexible 'can do' attitude

The ability to converse with people from Apprentice to Managing Director level

Other:

Not afraid to put in extra hours as and when necessary

Be happy to become part of the existing call out rota (1 week in 4 maximum)

Be happy driving long distances as and when the workload dictates

Be happy working away from home occasionally during the week and staying in hotel accommodation.

Remuneration:

Basic salary is fully negotiable based upon meeting the skills list above.
