kevin291
hi we've had an optimax L6 alarm system working fine since we moved in 5 years ago, but last night the internal sounder went off for no apparent reason, it then went off 3 hours later and then again at 4 & 6 this morning. the battery in the control box was changed last year so i dont think it's that. can anybody help? thanks kevin. kevin291
What lights came up on the panel when it was doing this? antinode
No zone or Attack LEDs? I've never heard of an alarm going off without some indication on the control panel. Hi antinode I was thinking, could it possibly be the battery in the bell box running low? regards kevin Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/21230-optima-xl6-internal-sounder/#findComment-183016 Share on other sites

kevin291
my thought exactly you not had anyone else working in the house?hithe weather was a bit cold last night but nothing too bad, and we havn't had any work done either, but thanks anyway for your help. i phoned up an engineer and he said that it could be the bell box and told me how to disable the tamper circuit, which i've done so hopefully i wont have anymore problems (or early mornings)thanks again for your help.regardskevinhithe weather was a bit cold last night but nothing too bad, and we havn't had any work done either, but thanks anyway for your help. i phoned up an engineer and he said that it could be the bell box and told me how to disable the tamper circuit, which i've done so hopefully i wont have anymore problems (or early mornings)thanks again for your help.regardskevin Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/21230-optima-xl6-internal-sounder/#findComment-183095 Share on other sites
