I've read a few posts and having finally just purchased my first alarm system for my first house, I thought it might be a good idea to set the ball rolling with the introductions should I require any advice upon installation!

Just to give a small summary, I have purchased a Gardtec 595 (v1) system with Nova 6 external sounder and twin G-Tag RKP's. A DIY system... it's going to be a fun weekend when I move in!

you get the kit direct or was it through a third party reseller ?

It was a bargain froma reseller. All boxed and new, but a first version, so it's a little tough following the manuals as they don't quite match the manuals!
