Urgent Help, Texecom Premier Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just been doing some work in my outbuilding and had to disconnect the expander in there, which runs from a Texecom Premier 48.

System was in engineer mode and asked me to confirm devices after removal which I did.

Have now reconnected the expander, the power light is on, but the panel won't recognise it. Have connected he laptop and diagnostics say the expander is not connected even after trying to confirm devices again.

Have also checked all fuses in panel and expanders and they are all ok.

Can anyone help please?

Have tried removing everything that is connected to the expander but still no luck getting it recognised by the system.

If you address the expander as another address say 4 one that you were not using, then power down and up.

It will then see the new expander address and re-confirm devices.

I agree, bound to be RT back to front. Not sure about anyone else but I always wire R as green cos it has an R in it and T as white cos its got a T in it.

Another thing to try is to wire the expander direct to the panel on a short cable - bit of a faf but it will confirm the expander is OK.

Sorted cheers,

Must have been the gremlins that switched the network wires from the input terminals to the output terminals

Won't do that one again.

cheers for the quick replies.
