I've never used calendars in Outlook much but I knew quite a few do and miss this feature in Thunderbird, the Mozilla equivalent of Microsoft Outlook. I've just started using Lightning which integrates a calendar into Thunderbird and makes it more of a competitor with MS Outlook.

There is also a standalone calendar available, Sunbird, so if you don't have Outlook or Thunderbird but use a calendar then there's something for you too.
