Sorted. Called out an engineer. The battery had gone. Apparently, there's a lead acid battery which supplies power in the event of a mains failure, and this had just expired, so it lost the programming as several here had suggested.

Thanks again for your help. I can't believe how helpful everyone is and how quickly!
