Scantronic 9452

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Scantronic 9452 alarm, with console and remote keypad.

It has recently started misbehaving with the Service, Tamper and Fault led's being lit with the internal buzzer sounding. I've checked the battery and it is OK. I only replaced it a year ago.

I've fully powered down the system and cleared the NVRAM. I've entered programming mode and re-programmed the various options.

Now whenever I try to exit programming mode, (99 enter) the Tamper led lights. I can clear this, but still can't leave the programme mode.

Any help welcome.

<_< Hi paul

Do you have an engineer manuel for this panel? If so look at page 10 it is a page of fault indicatores for your panel.

I would start with checking to see if your fuses are all ok, check to see if the back tamper on the panel is ok, (they can sometimes slip or fall off) If that does not work it would be a good idea to disconect all wires from the panel and fit wire links in all tamper zones (inc Ov & TR on the bell terminals) put links in all the zones as well (but not the power ones)

**Then try reseting the panel to day mode. If it works start adding the bits on the alarm back into their normal posistions, Just one at a time.

All being well your happy.

If not with no external bits conected reset the panel back to factorys setting, Then reset back to the normal day mode, If its ok go back to ** If its still got problems then maybe your panel is up the duff.

Any one else shed any light on this one!

Good luck

Adrian

By the way to exit engineer you only need to push 99 (not enter)
