Part Set Texecom Vr8 Question

Featured Replies

Hello guys, this is my first post so go easy on me. We have just purchased a propety in which the previous owner installed a texecom vr8 system around 6 months ago.

When he was showing us the system he told us about the part set and how to set it up for part1 and 2 trust me to forget.

When part is pressed it knocks out both bedrooms and the downstairs sensors remain active. However i would like part 1 to arm all zones except our bedroom and part 2 to arm all zones except the 2 bedrooms (for when we have a guest).

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

code **** press 1 then part = part set 1

code **** press 2 then part = part set 2

you can also omit zone if it not set right ;)

Think he means to have the part sets pre proged, it needs an engineer i think.

cheers

PS just looked for a old R8 book, none at home will look in the office tomorrow.

Hi guys thanks for the help. Wht i need to know is how to set the off zones for part1 and the off zones for part2. Can you guys help?

Ps i have tried engineers who say they are coming then dont call or even turn up so i think i have to do this myself?

Andy

Hi, thanks for the help guys, a friend of mine knows a guy in the alarm trade, he told me to go into program mode the press51 then change the zones, all sorted now.

Btw what is the general opinion on these systems are they any good, can a burgler beat them? should i consider a change?

Thanks

Andy
