Hi,

A veritas r8plus was already installed when brought my property. It has now developed a fault.

When I try to walk test the system I enter my code and press program but I get a fault noise and the zone lights don't illuminate, this happens no matter what I try to use the program button for.

The main box has a steady red light instead of a green light.

I have just changed the backup battery due to a fault on zone 1 which would not even let me arm the system.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you have an older R8 that requires you to press 00 instead of PROG to access programming mode.
