September 9, 200619 yr comment_119073 Hi all, Looking for a bit of advice... Woke up this morning to find my Optima XM making a loud(ish) humming noise. Also the keypad is not working. Only the power and day LEDs are lit. Are one any idea on what the problem may be? And how to fix it? Not sure when it was last serviced as we've just bought the house. How much would a service set me back (ball park figure)? September 9, 200619 yr comment_119077 To be honest it sounds like the back up battery in it is worn out and has drawn to larger current from the panel than it should and damaged it. Sounds like you may need more than a service unfortunatley, maybe even a replacement panel. Sorry its not what you want to hear. There are a few installers in Manchester may be able to help you further with an idea on cost.
