Menvier Ts2500 Exit

Featured Replies

Hi,

I installed a TS2500 in my house last year.

It is all setup in one ward at the moment. (I will be adding some out-buildings to it, as separate wards at some point)

When I installed it, we could only enter/exit the house through one route.

Today, I have installed another keypad, and also a new door contact on my inner porch door (We have a front door, then the porch door)

I have set this zone with the attributes "Entry=YES"

There is a PIR in the same room as the keypad, so I have set this to "Access=YES"

So far, so good!

If I try to set the system from the original location, and the porch door is open, the system will not set, telling me "Following ccts are in Error - Porch Door"

The trouble is, if we want to exit via the porch door, we have to make sure it is closed before we set the alarm (only to open it again as soon as the alarm is setting!)

Most of the time this door is open, or ajar, as we need to open it to pick up the post in the morning)

Is there a way we can get the system to start setting even though the door is open, but also tell the user the zone is open? (So when we try to set the system from the original location (back door) we will know the porch door is open)

I tried setting the porch door to Access=YES) this allowed the system to start setting with the door open, but didn

Set the proch door for Final exit, and if you dont want the panel to bleep at you when the dore is open during setting, set it as Access and Entry also.
