An RMV or routine maintenance visit on your system should be carried out at least once a year on your system. During this test, the engineer disconnects the hold off at the panel end - your bell box should then sound - if it doesnt or sounds like a strangled parrot - then more than likely your SAB battery needs changing -this is one way the battery's condition in the bell box/SAB can be gauged.
