Guest Coll
Hi all, my second post of the day! I've recently installed a Gardtec 593 system to my property which is 200+ miles away. The system has functionality to monitor the system remotely via modem but i can't find any info on it? I'm in the Forces and this system would be superb to use to monitor/access the system whilst i'm on my travels. I am an electronic engineer and so do understand the techno speak if that helps. I know there's a wealth of experience out there. Can anyone help or give advice? thanks Coll Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/11279-gardtec-593595-modem-set-up-help/ Share on other sites
antinode
Hi, You will need Gardtec's UDL software to utilise this feature, which is only available to Gardtec registered installers. Have you considered a speech dialer? Have you considered a speech dialer? Yes, i've installed the Gardtec speech dialler which is superb but wondered if 1. It was possible to use modem functionality 2. From user feedback to see if such a feature was even worth considering Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/11279-gardtec-593595-modem-set-up-help/#findComment-106404 Share on other sites

From user feedback to see if such a feature was even worth considering hi Coll, the UDL sofgtware as advised is only available to Gardtec Account Holding Registered installers, even if you got a 'snide' copy it wil not work without the registration codes which are only supplied by Gardtec technical Dept. if they allowed you a copy, you would need to instal it to a laptop and register it, then using a specific modem and only one type will work, so i thinkl you are on a 'loser' matey. your best bet is to contact a local company who can assist you, having the right equipment who can relate any info or alter codes or modes as requiered with the experience and 'know how' to advise properly of any consequences. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! I think that we have already seen today that Gardtec are selling anything to anyone from at least one distributor ... including the Gardtec Remote software!
