breff
No other way round, your sposed to connect at 2400 with redcare, it runs at 300 baud So how come in wintex when you select redcare as the coms it automatically checks the box for "always connect at 300 Baud". I admit though, I always connect at 2400 but try to keep time online to a minimum. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/11145-software/page/2/#findComment-105130 Share on other sites
Guest DOUBLEDOUCH243
Hello The official answer from BT is that you can't run data any faster than 300 BAUD on a redcare line. The data transfer interferes with the REDCARE low tone and can put the unit into no response. But I have tested software at 1200 and there is no problem, yet! It could also depend on the line, if near the exchange you may be able to get away with a faster speeds.
