January 11, 200422 yr comment_5862 I've moved into an older property and am installing new mains wiring. When I turn off the mains electricity, after a few moments the Rascal Super alarm siren goes off to the annoyance of the (kindly) neighbours. Is there a way of setting the system so that the alarm is not sounded when I turn off the electricity? Also I don't have the installation manual for this alarm system - could some kind soul please forward me one please. January 11, 200422 yr comment_5865 Hi Bob, The easiest way to stop your alarm going off is put a new battery in it, its likely that the old one will be dead since the system is fairly old, this will keep the system powered up in the event of a power failure. As for the manual, we are not allowed to give members of the public engineer/installation manuals as it may compromise the security of customers systems. If you are trade and can prove it, we would be happy to supply one to you.
