April 12, 200620 yr comment_95121 As standard when installing 240v linked detectors we always use 1.5mm 3 core + earth "RED" cable. Just recently though we've been having problems getting hold of it. The wholesalers say there isn't much demand for it and they no longer stock it. I was always under the impression this was a must when installing this type of system. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts or was having the same problem. April 13, 200620 yr comment_95206 you don't have to use red cable. Normal grey stuff installed to BS7671 is acceptable.
