  1. Thanks guys. I’ll do some more research. So comms via IP the way to go?
  2. Hi guys. Have another thread regarding my “upgrade” of my home alarm system. Apparently I upgraded sideways so will now look to do a proper revamp. PIRs will be wireless. Keypad and external box are wired. Comms via phone line to me fine. Would like to be able to access via app but keep cost down ( I’m 50 years old from Glasgow). Open to any options. I can do it myself after 30 years doing fire alarms.
  3. Yes mate that’s what I did. Probably laid out £150 to get back 100% again. Thought it was ok instead of £400-£500? Know jack **** about intruder but spent 30 years doing fire alarms so I’m just ahead on that front
  4. That puzzled me too. I’ve now been here long enough to understand my ‘upgraded’ alarm is a dinosaur. So what would be regarded by members as a decent system with app access?
  5. Actually bought it on the strength of the app. Since found out the ownership can’t be deleted and registered to a new owner. I’m going to use it while I research an alternative. I had wireless PIRs so was looking for something I could use the kit already in the house.
  6. New member here and only just done my introduction. Intruder alarms not my game but have purchased a second hand control panel. Pretty much setup but have a couple of issues. Any member conversant with these panels then please PM me regarding IP and PTSN communication.
  7. Hi folks. Been in the fire alarm game for years but registered on here for advice on setting up my new (to me) home intruder system. Happy to take PMs on fire alarm issues as I hope to resolve my intruder woes via members here.
