Hi all! In need of some help! We moved into our new home which had an Powermaster 10 ADT system installed. We were not left any codes or user manuals or anything for the system, and just assumed it was all turned off. Then a few weeks ago the beeping started. We gave ADT a call but they said because we were not paying members they couldn't help us and we would need to call an emergency electrician (on Christmas Eve - ugh). We managed to get in touch with the old owners who gave us the code they used for setting and unsetting the alarm and that stopped the beeping - for about 4 hours. But then it starts beeping again. We are able to silence the beeping with the code they gave us but it hasn't fixed the whole problem. We think the beeping may have been caused because we accidentally threw out one of the motion sensors when we were decorating (whoops - my bad! ) and so tried to remove the device that was thrown away, however it wouldn't let us into the installer menu as it said the code was wrong. To be honest, we just want to turn the whole thing OFF as we are both working at home full time. Is there any way that we can do this without knowing the master code, subscribing to ADT or needing to call an electrician? Thanks in advance!!
