  1. Thank you for the very clear response! I clearly need a separate fire alarm and link it to the Texecom panel for notifications, etc.
  2. If that is the case, I guess nobody thought of this before then. But we are only just doing the foundations now so no issue other than cost
  3. Yes for the architect and electrical contractor. It came up when the electrical contractor were reviewing the plans and then confirmed with building control. We don’t have any smoke alarm system currently - it is a newbuild house. We had planned nest protect - nothing sophisticated!
  4. The UK. We have a storey which is more than 200 sq m in a newbuild house and I have been told there is no flexibility
  5. Our building control officer has said we need a class B fire alarm. I was wondering if we could use the Texecom panel but I take your point it is not a fire alarm system. Perhaps that answers my question that we cannot use it! Thank you
  6. I need a class B fire alarm - I would like to use the fire alarm functionality on the Texecom Premier Elite panel but I have heard conflicting reports regarding whether the Texecom Premier Elite is Class B or Class C. I called Texecom support and they were totally useless/ignorant. Does anyone know whether it is Class B or Class C? Thank you
