I'm not looking for a petty argument. I told you exactly what your solution was. I'm not going to hide my distaste for chancers that bid for work they haven't bothered to train for though, it makes a mockery of the industry.

And I'll shut up when I'm ready to.

(Yawns) Still riding that high horse I see.

Was the client aware that "you havent touched anything with multiple DVRs before and that you like to take on challenges and learn onsite where you can" before awarding a big contract or did they think they were getting someone suitably qualified and experienced?

Ohh shut up really hate people like you on forums ooking for petty arguments. For the record I stated I hadn’t worked with anything like that before and they wer just happy to get rid of the cowboy they had previously. Thanks and have a gd day.

    So what you do dude?

Just edited 4 of the existing unused channels on the NVR in the office copied the IP address of the DVR where I ran the cameras too and the port numbers job done.

  4. Thanks for the reply’s guys figured it out in the end was quiet straight forward really. Was no need to come across like that petrol head I’m no apprentice just been mainly doing domestic over the last few years. Like I said in my post I haven’t touched anything with multiple DVRs before. I like to take on challenges and learn onsite where I can.

  5. Hey guys new to the forum.

I have recently took on quiet a big contract they have a existing setup of over 30 cameras with 3 DVRs. So basically I’ve installed a extra 4 cameras on top of there existing setup from one of the DVRs onsite. They have a office where they can view all of the cameras from one DVR. So I thought that installing the cameras on the existing setup would automatically populate in the office but that’s not the case. Any ideas? They have Hikvision DVRs and have never dealt with a setup with multiple DVRs I know it’s probably going to be something silly I am missing here any help would be great.
