    southernBrad, looking for good long range perimeter detection, maybe beams or fibre optic sensing cable. Optic do seem to have good curtain pir n software to minimise the false alarms but I've not much experience of the high end detectors 

    Always room for a second person on the job?? As you are local ...if u are not busy at the mo.

      Hi josh,

      Iv'e used Optex in the past with good results. The Redscans and Fibre sense products seemed to work very well.

      What company are you working for or are you self employed? Not many places down our way that i know of that want things like that.

    Hi All,nice to meet you - I've joined as at the mo I am a bit out of my league specifiying for a system for a smallholding (and there seems some fantastic answers here) - would have sub-ed it out but unless it has the VIP ticket seems it too challenging/hard work for the average installer :/ I shall be back with a plan, my first delve into PIDS. Looking forward to exploring the site thanks Bridget n Josh
