Hi, I have replaced the battery but after I try to use several times in the night and it give 2 false alarm. After I stop the sound by tap pin number and the day light is off. I try to reset the system afterwards but never get it working again with day light off and can not hear the bip when i press the number key. Can someone give me a clue what is wrong? thanks

so if the battery voltage is low, is it possible to cause it off?

I have measured the battery voltage, it only 8.5V. it much low than the rated 12V. What is the fuction of the battery? Only for back up when main power off?
