Mains and battery? It won't lose code will it

Do I put the system in engineering mode to add new bell box?

Thanks just ordered Accenta G 4 ..Should be a case of switching over cables for doors and pir's ?

New unit then....

Even with main power connected...It has never been on battery power

Quick question is code stored in mother board or keypad?

New keypad fitted and still no joy...If battery not fitted it should reboot when set/set pressed after power on ..Maybe time to buy new one!

Found broken cable and replaced,tries to power down and reset/reset but will not accept any code

Had this system for a while but after christmas sound stopped on keypad,got that back..But now keypad will not accept code or orignal code (0123)...Found battery is pushing just over 8 volts (should be 12) but with this disconnected still will not accept any code...Is their a master over ride?;
