  1. Hi guys, interesting topic, we are a registered control 4 dealer - not that we do two much with it - but if you get stuck again with it especially as a lot of dealers stick all manner of security systems (Texecom DVR Cameras) through it then give us a message and happily help you out! PS: Something to watch if you come across it, sometimes the integration with Control 4 and Texecom can cause random CIE faults on the Texecom panel. Where ever possible we don't like putting the intruder alarm through Control 4 especially as most panel manufacturers use apps on smart phones these days anyway.
  2. Hi guys, New to the forum, but thought I'd put some food for thought on here, we had our SSAIB inspection last year and got picked up on the fact that we didn't use staples. It wasn't a big issue and I think its personal preference. As already said using staples increases the risk of damaging the cable and what we've gained in clipping the cables we lose in troubleshooting! Some I guess applies to CAT5e, I did come across a company in the USA who made insulated staples for communication cabling, I'll see if I can dig out the information if anyone's interested?
