  1. it did see it and took the id in, but then going to device settings it would not let it complete the process.. once i cancel the fob / delete it the warning goes. hence the "not networked"
  2. I have a powermaster 30 great kit just upgraded the installation to the new lastest powerlink 3 etc instead of the gsm for the cam units x 5 , but whilst programming thought i'd do some other bits at same time , a few more smoke detectors and extra tower cams etc and some spare fobs i had for "just in case" standby loss etc. Point, obviously sticking to the right freq of 868hz of my kit, I can get a new key fob( kf-234pg2 868:0:030) to be recognised by its i.d. by main panel, but tried and tried but no joy to get it to work fully , issue light on ( yell triangle) going to put in x4 fobs but can not get the one to work, but states it will not network at all, any suggestions? the other kit just went in a treat except one tower that had a "wrong" id code stated "142-xxxx" was actually "140-xxxx" after tapping the the enroll button to get it in the system. I would have thought that would be rare with visonics quality control. Strike that just had a tower fail through condensation the top circuit board in the head, took to bits dried on radiator, placed in x 2 1g silica packets to see how it performs in service( only one way signal), **** idea on seeing the unit stripped down, battery compartment has a gasket the unit, but is open from top down with just a clip lid that obviously allows in atmosphere over time... ( designed to external use)
  3. you've been here then! just missing the big arms with sword in em'!!! over the road in.
  4. my time is free at the mo, professional messing ltd, specialising in messing, messing about and doing exactly what i want to do , all areas covered! this is pro-bono. I have 4 spare Panasonic wv domes, so plenty of stuff to use, but feel its very usable and costing me next to nothing its worth a few hours, surely... granted if not... its target practice as where it was going to be it would have looked quite intimidating but a protecting presence and I feel it would have succumb to being shot anyway by air rifle or shotgun by the **** holes that get about us at night..it was in a way to be sacreficial to see if it got damage in service before I put up a new dome.. 170 yards away from main house.
  5. i'm getting there, in yorkshire i'm tight!
  6. PTZ 730 will do the trick, anyone got one for a fair, cheap, low price, give away price? if so email me .. that will help get the main menu up to help set the perimeters and see if the Aux x2 work as they should. i.e.infra red and wiper, bottom line is , the cam its self maybe just shagged , just pic at the mo, as a few mentioned, but like to solve things... that bin is looking mighty close though! thanks for the assistance. much appreciated.
  7. nah same **** as the one i have albeit the infra red unit is different... its a gamble to see if the set up procedure is similar, nothing to lose on googling its tech sheet, need a controller to go with the honey hrdp16D500x to help it along, I dont have one,,, anyone got something that will work with this dvr in their historical stock? / collection of dated dvr's.
  8. Now thats a point , i thought I'd seen it somewhere else in their little book they send out a few years ago, sadly i bin em nowadays after a quick looksee on their offers, similar but slight differences but its the same looking unit.. just googled it... not going in there taking it all as gospel but in my stride...good call HB
  9. again that would sound like a setting issue, but also logical in the event. point, it all depends on the compatibility of the kit! to each of the parts, therefore compatible settings required.. and that's more than understandable. Like brands will always make for an easier set up, or it should, but again not always the case.. the parameters etc can just be a pain, hence a manual to help avoid and help understand. Even the honeywell dvr in the manual is brief! but it is a basic unit on stand alone.
  10. i was being lazy using the honey hrdp, it was at hand as well, but i knew its more than capable of operating it if only basic, but having zoom, iris and focus on it, it should have been able to operate a 2 wire rs485 ptz, being dutyful to myself the setting up of the panasonic wj-hd was just being lazy, but even if i did , the right setting info may just result in the same results as it maybe faulty possibly... so having the paperwork, technical stuff , it just makes for a easier life and save messing in areas that a tech spec might just save the time on. It eliminates the unit from being faulty with the right data, otherwise I just will not know if its one or the other at fault. I can debate this all day, but until I get that info or some info or indeed some direct assistance by a generous individual, its not worth my time messing , getting confused like trying to piss in the corner of a barrel.. I get to a point where its just easier to pay nowadays, once it was a necessity to not pay others, with the alzheimers kicking in of late, my brain just doesn't work like it used to , but i can afford to pay nowadays which is now a luxury. Its hard to hang up the brain on being practical all your life, but getting older makes you realise you can't do it all..especially forever!!!! getting the unit on remote viewer might help as well, but just getting the operation setup on my router takes for a big sit down job, to set up the router with all its got going on it anyway...
  11. You know Al-yeti, your right, but its a bloody good start , I have a few panasonic wj-hd309's about, but my brain needs to get back into gear to get those controllers and joysticks set up.. but without the info the units best set too, its pissing in the wind a tad... without sounding like CJ, "i didn't get to where I am " with binning everything at the first hurdle... it was worth a looksee on here, but guess a few more days something might turn up, nothing to lose in waiting ...
  12. never been a house basher , granted wired a house or two, hospitals, nursing homes and other domestic properties in my time and on auto pilot doing so and when a lot younger, but main line was in new industrial buildings, industrial control and panel construction and the of fitting, installation of large industrial machines, where the circuit diagrams come in "wall paper choice" sized books! and before retirement a successful building company, (age 52) so know a thing or two ..but like all, if you don't have the info you can't do a lot on something you just not familiar with.!
  13. yes done that , on a bench, and doing as i say p and t.ing. only , the display details are as per 10 way micro switch positions.. i have it on pelco d it worked as is , same on pelco c baud rate 9600, and tried on 2400 as can be seen on the screen.on start up , it springs into action settles down once datum reached. its not having that setting up data which I know will fill in the gaps, cracking picture and auto focus working as is the infra on the cam... but just lacking in info... i have no idea if Basson buy from China but its not overly Chinesey in quality to how its made etc... the extra fingers do come in handy Global moderator, mostly in still picking my nose, scratching my arse and at the same time giving V signs to arseholes !!!
  14. Well the penny dropped with you Norman...!!!, thats why I am asking on here, there maybe someone with the info I need, surely its not such a closed shop on here or out there, just looking for a friendly bit of assistance.. not a lot to ask on a forum...and with so many qualified engineers, fitters, installers etc on here. with regards share price comment ...dilligaf . I am thinking there will be someone on here with the technical advice, assistance I require..I live in Hope sure there is...
  15. never heard of Basson? wow... prob seen their kit but not known who they are... Strange to say, staff cost money, we know!!! of which i agree, but who is to know once i get this operating as it should, it could encourage me to buy new x several... to gain a customer is harder than keeping one, i have offered to send it it! if it requires, that will cost, I was buying a better dedicated PSU, but had one / found one... How many of us buy things that you have seen , then wanted.. this might just be the same, but looking at their newer models the range is there for my requirements... all this feeds into giving them a revenue stream, albeit small to start but can, could, may lead to orders from me .We have a 4 acre site x 360 degree vulnerability. it needs kit.. and upgrading from my present kit with better technology... so when you say providing them with an income, I guess I might just be doing that... but they never find out. but.............. if a door is slammed in my face on my initial requests, or shut without good reason, would you go and buy from that seller? I understand the **** about trade/ public/ diy but Ill think you'll find my money is as good as the next guy who buys kit from them whether it be one unit or 10. Mass market, not really this kit is up there with the best and really surprised you have not heard of them, http://www.bassontradecctv.co.uk/..strange I am standing up for them, but being in business for my self over 33 years I have learn to be patient and understanding with suppliers and customers.. but its like the story we have heard of in one way or another, scruffy farmer walking into Ferrari garage and being ignored... business cannot afford to be stuck up, that customer they ignore might just be the owner of some huge business... and the way customers are dealt with....Can have an impact on that business, directly or secondary by how that particular person has been treated. here endeth my sermon.
