Just power the bell/siren direct off the battery while you work on the panel.
This will hold the SAB silent.
There will be a short blip (duration of however long it take you to remake the connection) I normally prewire a common neg and only disconnect and reconnect the positive. Use a lead with a spade terminal one end and an insulated crock clip the other (or crocks both ends)
Perfect thanks bud

It shouldnt go off if the battery in the panel is ok, and why do you need to replace the aux fuse?
Cos it blew when I accidentally shorted the + and - on a PIR

alarms have self activating bells,
when the power is removed from the unit, it sounds (powered by its own battery)
in most case if you don't want it to sound you get the ladder out & disconnect the battery...
Yup that’s what I assumed!!!
Just hate doing that as the sounder hammers my ears when you lift the bell box cover. You pros must use some serious ear defenders

When changing the 500mA aux fuse on my panel I disconnected the mains power and battery but when I pull the fuse the bell box still goes off on its battery.
How do I stop the bell box going off when working on this panel as I have particularly grumpy neighbours.

"L" means lost,
"delete the circuit off " aka remove the transmitter in the zex menu 91-98 or whatever +no ?
Hi and thanks for the reply but I am still a bit confused. I have the programming manual for the panel but can’t find the program option to remove the transmitter . You refer to the zex menu but not exactly sure what you mean .
Soory to be dim but am not super familiar with this setup

Now it’s pissing memoff
Peogrammed sensors to off in main panel (program zone types) and still triggers a tamper alarm frequently
Tried taking battery out and this triggers another error code with an “L” after it when trying to set the alarm.
Any ideas please

Thanks all for comments. If I can’t fix them and get new senders I have the install manual for the senders that says set the receiver to write mode but I don’t know how do this. The receiver is a separate square white box wired in to the gardtec panel.
if anyone has the install instructions for the receiver they can share that would be fab

Got a Gardtec 595 panel linked to the Risco wireless module. Two of the wireless shock sensors are triggering false tamper alarms and is now occurring at least twice a day.
Have tried changing the sensor battery but still the same.Any othe ideas to fix?
Alternatively I could just get rid of them but I can’t figure out how to unconnected them from the wireless receiver, anyone know how this is done. I tried simply taking batteries out but that didn’t help

rip it out & stamp on it?
its 1 way radio, wait for the device to sleep then wake the transmitter with a 12hr alarm or view the device strengh
Weird
left for 24 hours and then all reset ok. Have to say pain in the ass but all ok now

Hi
Javing issue resetting after changing batteries in 2 wireless shock detectors (Risco units). Tamper reset is set to any code for sure, in fact all resets are set to any code. I have tried turning both unis off and then adding them back but the alarm will not reset.
To reset I am entering main code, saying yes to set but all to no avail. I have checked the tamper springs etc in the sensors etc but the thing just does not want to reset
If I remove all power (including backup battery) will this force a reset (I am guessing so)
Any other ideas anyone?
Gardtec on charge/off charge voltage limits
in !!..DIY Installers..!!

Sorry if this is a stupid question......
My 595 panel is erroring with a battery voltage alert (can’t remember if it’s an on charge or off charge alert).
Battry now 5 years old so new one on order. In the meantime have stooped the alerts by setting the PSU test time to 0.
Can anyone explain the difference between the on charge and off charge voltage limits as makes no sense to me.
