  1. Thank you all. So far no problems , I hope this problem I had might help other users in case it happens to them too. Funny how the story ended. Reset ...and voila' !
  2. The first thing the technician told me was to get a ups , Ill go and get one asap. This morning still working fine ! Thanks.
  3. I must have missed that ! Been going for 5 hrs without a problem so far. I'll check the pc cards as well. Thanks.
  4. WTF ??????????????? It's working now this ^#$%@#&$%@!^*$) !!! :hmm: All I did was resetting to the factory setting and now IT'S ALIVE !!! ( Thank dog my head it so hard and don't give up easily) Let you know if it last, I'm sure you all want to know the continuation of 'the "Intellex saga". See ya later.....
  5. Naaa , It's still ALIVE ! Well , barely ... System load but as soon as it gets to he cameras it shuts down. I called a computer tech and he told me to try a new power supply and see what happen , if it is something more serious like the hard drive , I'd better off buying a new one since I can get one for a few hundred dollars and I don't need such a 'monster' in my shop. Well , I changed the power supply and the problem is still there. So, that's all folks ! Ciao
  6. Problem "resolved" ! It completely died. That's all folks ! Amen
  7. Thank you all ! I'll see what to do. Alex
  8. I have finally got an answer : I need the disks to reload the program , which I don't have because the guy that gave me this unit wasn't given the disks either when the system was installed many years ago, under a 'maintenance agreement'. That's how they make their money ! I'll use it like it is until it completely dies. Bye Alex
  9. How do I 'reload the software' ? Does this 'thing' come with a disk ? The guy that gave it to me to use lost whatever stuff it come with , including the password to exit to windows. If I could acces the event viewer 'maybe' I could find a reason for this problem ? Alex
  10. I reply to them asking what that mean and I was 'showed the finger' ( No reply) I might have to get a technician to have a look at it, for a few hundred dollars ! Just to come out they charge you $100 ! We'll see what happen. Alex
  11. I just got a reply from the co. that sells this unit (I'm in Australia): "Hi , It's a bit difficult to diagnose the problem via email, but it sounds like a Hard drive is failing and you may need to reload the software."
  12. Thank you all for the tips , now this is weird, all of a sudden the problem stopped . No idea why, just as I have no idea why the problem started in the first place, I even add another camera. The owner of the main shop told me he also found things switched off in the morning, maybe some power fluctuation during the night ? Well... let's see what happen. Thanks. Alex
  13. Forgot : the code 1234 to enter the system works fine and give access to everything, not sure what the other people issue is. my email address > xxxx@yahoo.com
  14. Hi people , I have the same system which I use in my Cafe (It was given to me when the owner of the main shop bought a new one), use it for 3 years. Recently something strange happened : everyday, mostly at night, all the cameras (4) would go off for not apparent reason. The solution is to pull the plug and restart the system.Another problem we are having is that we can't exit the program to go to windows because the ex owner of the unit can't find the code to exit.We have the code to enter but not to exit. Manual shutdown is possible because no password is needed. The reason for wanting to go to windows is to see if the unit need some kind of update or if it is possible to find the reason for this sudden cameras shutdown. The unit stays on but no the cameras. Thanks. Lupo
