  1. Thanks, I will try adding a common 0v. And check the rio
  2. The main panel has 2 bell boxes set to use internal battery on alarm, the power rio also has a single bell box connected.
  3. The software on main panel is 1.5 The main panel is connected to the P RIO just by 2 wire no power linked, all sensors take power from that P rio, ie between the two building is just two wire link. The only thing is the RF box its wired as end res - house key pad - ether net - main panel - rf box -(2 wire no 12v)- p rio - keypad - end res so the last keypad is powered by the rio. The rf is last powered on the main panel, but is assigned to a zone on power rio so don't know if this would be an issue.
  4. Yes the system runs fine on battery, there are two one in main panel and another in powered rio, batteries check out ok and I don't get any battery faults on panel. I seem to remember the RF G3 had too be assigned to a zone for groups, main panel was full these are all house sensors ie G1, the P-RIO is for an outbuilding G2 but not all 8 were used so assigned it to a un used zone on there, but not sure why his would cause the mains fail to unset.
  5. I have a G2-20 panel with RF and a 8 rio added using 3 groups, 1 house 2-3 out buildings. I have noticed a few times if 1u 2s 3s and there is a mains fail groups 2-3 unset. Need to double check what happens when all are set and mains fail. The panel reports mains fail on G2-20 and P Rio. But why is the system unsetting the other 2 groups when mains fails both units have good batteries?
  6. Fitted acouple of these now and have always connected a bt line (even tho I have never used this function) to them because they thro up error messages. Is there away to switch this off ? in programming or fitting a link if there is no bt line availiable.
  7. Thanks for the reply, think I will go the powered Rio route allows more functions.
  8. Have a 12 zone panel with single keypad in house, recently added a RF Portal which is now covering some small out buildings also the system is fitted with a selfmon board for sms email etc. There is also a garage a sort distance away from the house which has an old seperate alarm panel in it, trying to link them so the garage would be on the selfmon. Options fit RF sensors but realy need to keep the external bellbox on end of garage Add a powered RIO + keypad in garage could be done with abit of work get a cable across, I belive this will run a bell box, questions what happens if the link wire is cut ? will it go into alarm, work seperately or just stop working. I assume I can then group ie House, garage, outbuildings did this before on another house so banks of zones are linked to users. Or is it possible to have two G2-20 panels and do a link wire. Whats the max number of zones allowed with a 12 zone panel, Rf portal and Powered RIO ?
  9. Can anyone confirm it will work fine on version 1.5 panel firmware.
  10. Could someone help me here, I fitted a G2 panel 2-3 years back it has 12 zones expandable to 20 i belive. I would like to add an outbuilding to the system only acouple sensors its like max 20 m away from the house, is the C079-2 RF Portal the correct one. Can it be remote wired to the main panel ie I would like to place it at the end of the house nearest the out building to keep distance short. Also when adding a rf portal does this add aditional zones to the system or would I have to use one of the existing 12 zones ?
