Guest ma701ss
I've been looking at the Texecom Prestige MR. It seems to be a good PIR because of the amplified IR signal using mirrored optics. Can anyone tell me when you might install a Prestige MR instead of a Prestige QD, and vice versa? Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/4553-prstige-mr/ Share on other sites

We've been using them most of this year with no problems at all. I think the mirrors are for better pickup and the quad to give an improvement in false alarm immunity. However we've installed a lot of Prestige IR (standard PIR) in domestic installations and they have been great (both pickup and FA immunity).
