mandem
Hi All, I have a Menvier M800 and two mkp2 keypads, however recently (over the last year) I started getting issues with the LCD display. On both keypads, the LCD display has become pixelated. Some of the text/characters are chopped or missing, looks like a faulty display. (See attached) Has anyone seen this issue, is it a faulty LCD? Is there a way I can replace the LCD, or would I have to purchase replacement keypads? Many Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/32115-mkp2-lcd-issues/ Share on other sites
fozzies
Sounds very much like 2 faulty kpds to me. everything is surface mount these days, so very difficult to replace even if u do manage to source a replacement, very fiddly work with a soldering iron! fozzies
Personally i wouldnt replace them if i could read the display, it wont affect the running of the alarm in any way, its just the lcd that is faulty, not the electronics controlling it.
