What is the battery life like on the HKC wireless PIR Cams?
-
I think I have concluded that outdoor sensors are a nonstarter, thanks for your help.

Yes, I already have an internal alarm system.
I am looking for a layered approach.

I may end up doing it myself (;-)
CCTV is another option. Although I see that as a deterrent more than anything else.

BTW - I am not planning on doing this install myself, I am just acquiring knowledge so I know what to look for with a supplier.
I have completed two online inquiry forms for two reputable local suppliers recently and neither of them has contacted me, the alarm business must be booming.

I am looking at a layered approach, starting with physically securing the perimeter the best I can and then working inwards. House alarm is the last line of defence, if that goes off they are in which is what I am hoping to avoid.

Are there any reliable alternatives to protecting the perimeter?

It is for protecting areas of the garden that are vulnerable to access. My logic is to raise an alarm before intruders get an opportunity to start leveraging the patio doors.

I am thinking Visonic are a better alternative

Any thoughts ?

Hi, I am looking for an outdoor perimeter alarm system.
I have only just started my research so my knowledge is limited.
How reliable are outdoor sensors?
I found these above, based on the description they sound like that would be suitable, they work in pairs so both have to be triggered to raise the alarm.

I am liking the idea of the PIR camera
https://shop.netatmo.com/gbp_en/netatmo-presence-uk.html
https://nest.com/uk/camera/meet-nest-cam-outdoor/
Nest and Netamo provide similar functionality
Anything good or bad to say about either ?
