Wera, wiha, some ck flat heads I rarely use (the heads seem to shear of the others so only flat heads left so don't buy them anymore) even some Irwin bits
-
Each to their own would have gone in the bin for me not a fan of gardtecs
-
Shame that elmdene module I took down on other post would have suited that modern lid nicely

Agreed, I did try to adjust the timer pot on the logic 4 but to no avail to Be fair I think it was due retirement Customer got An excellent service life out of it, keyswitch was damaged from use was just tired.
got an m series at home got to admit always liked my Menviers but to be fair was what I was taught on so would explain it the tones sounded like a really p****d off robot power cycling

What was false alarm rate like ? Terrible due to the relay failures ?
infact assume relays failed closed anyway?

Still see the original optimas just plodding on, de commissioned a logic 4 the other week was working fine until i tested a full set and waited for the entry time to expire finished my brew waiting and filled out the paperwork, got the panel change booked in and was still waiting first panel installed was a menvier TS510 still remember the entry timer tone and fire tones it made

I once heard of people having issues with these going into tamper years ago apparently caused by certain beacons on forklifts etc but would imagine that fault has long been resolved
-
I've no idea I googled the company they seem to Be still going but don't do intruder Alarm detectors anymore , maybe some of the old timers fitted some back in the day

Hi Gents,
Just wanted to add a bit of detail to some of your comments. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly on mgovier@texe.com.
Power supplies - We did see an issue with a small amount of power supplies failing after being installed. This was sometimes after a few months and sometimes over a year later. What was strange is that the power supply had not changed, we have however since added additional components that has enhanced the stability of the product. As such all new panels should be fine. If you happen to have one on a new panel please contact me and I will investigate for you.
Software - The Premier Elite software is by far the best it has ever been. With each release we fix more legacy issues and of course a few new ones for new products. We are always working to provide the most stable and feature rich firmware available so if you ever find anything please let technical know. I promise it will be looked into!
Quality - This will always be our biggest focus. We are aware that with the launch of every new products bring with them their own set of challenges, all of which we have worked to resolve in a timely manner. We are also hearing sporadic reports of other QA issues, these are always investigated and measures put in place to ensure a repeat does not happen. No QA issue is acceptable so always contact us with any concerns and we will investigate.
Technical Support - Texecom is aware that the current call hold time into technical support has increased to an unacceptable level. Effective immediately we have changed the way the technical support team operate. The primary focus for all technicians is on the incoming calls, as such proactive testing of new firmware and products will cease until further notice. In addition emails have been given a 24 hour response time as part of a new SLA that the customer will see upon sending an email to technical support. This again puts primary focus on calls and allows emails to be done during the quieter times. Our short to medium term plan involves installing a new call monitoring system. This not only allows us to better match staffing levels to busy periods but will identify staff and customer training needs.
*EDIT* Technical will ask for a profile if you have a strange issue. This is normally when they cannot recreate the issue. So they can either suggest you email in so they can try your profile on their panel or suggest a default........ I know which one I would prefer.
Overall I get that Texecom is not perfect, but who is. What I can assure you, is we have the experience and dedication to our customers to supply the best product possible.
Agree with the other comments only just seen this thanks for responding and taking the time to go through everything

I agree it doesn't help no. As I say I haven't called Technical in a long time.
Any queries like that feel free to post on here.
But do note there is only so much we can help with on the public forums.
Appreciated

Duress users behave the same way as Standard users. However, Duress users will activate any outputs programmed as ‘Panic Alarm’ or ‘Duress’ whenever their code is entered.
surely that would be silent or audible though ?
-
Not at all was just asking didn't know it was that long ago got to admit with regards to the duress though doesn't help if I am infact mis informed from tech support I'm obviously going to assume it's a glitch
-
Well according to texe support any output type programmed as pa audible pa silent or duress would activate upon a duress code being entered so if your correct you could have saved me the half hour of my time speaking to Anthony and others at texecom trying to work it out
-
the tamper one is a feature I never new of in all honesty the duress signal not working wouldn't Be a very useful feature unless your an armed robber that is
-
Could they not have something in the software atleast then so if it sees any active tamper whilst in engineers it resets the 60 minute timer or just doesn't exit at all if a device is in tamper condition so it's not just limited to the end station being left open
-
sorry about that I'll take it out next service just having a see what people's opinions are on different kit really every engineer will agree they have their own 'preferred panels' etc pros and cons
-
Isn't the ricochet technology licensed by one of the old boys on an agreement with texe bet he's quids in if it is
-
For the price and what you get it is good just had my faith knocked with it recently few little things like timing out of engineers whilst I'm trying to adjust dt detectors then going off on tamper atleast on a galaxy, menvier etc I can just login to engineers and plod on happily without worrying
-
Never new thought it was stuck at grade 2 due to the lack of security
