If I was garth 05 I would get it swapped now before he starts to decorate his new house, get a VR8 or simlar.

The RKPs for the omnicron are in my opion a pain, Only ever fitted one and could not get it to work, but luckily the customer sold the house before I got back to have another go.
If im correct the buttons are very stiff so have you tried pressing fairly hard(with a hammer).

<> options OFF, 19 master, 20 normal, 21 all on, 22 area 1, 23 area 2,
24 area 1 on, 25 area 2 on,

Hope this helps, I have never been into the prog side of a 1600 so this is as

I think that Ive heard of the acorn panels, did they come in wooden boxes and only had a key switch on the front.
Some of the old stuff was built to last, apart from not liking surges, lightning etc they seem to last 15+ years no problem. I have spent many a happy couple of hours trying to fix the latter model shorrocks & securicor panels, most of them do tend to come back to life and stay ok.

Magpye,
I havent forgot. Im meeting an engineer at the office tomorrow and he has a reference card that shows how to prog a 1600. He did try to explain over the phone but it seems a bit long winded. I will post tomorrow

Hi Magpye,
I work for Initial and even I havent got a manual on that thing. I will try and get the info tommorrow for you off some of the old timers. They may be old but there is still a few of them out there. I had the pleasure on sunday after the lightning of trying to prog one (without the manual).

Back when I was a sparky, we used to do reactive maint for the co-op & this included the funeral directors. I was never happy about working in this enviroment & what really got to me was in the large sites they would have a big selection of different size coffins, at the time my son was about two and seeing half a dozen coffins for kids was something I didnt need to see.
