  1. Hi datadiffusion Thanks for replying. We were recently burgled so decided to use the alarm which we inherited. It was installed by everest but they wont support it now. I managed to reset the panel and all was well until I got a bad set. I decided to reset again to see if that would clear it but managed to reset back to factory settings. I want to know if I can recode the zone and wireless PIR's and window contacts myself or of I am on a loser. I have the engineers manual but it doesnt seem to describe programming although there is a section - maybe I am missing something? I am happy to learn and take some time sorting it, or if there is someone in my area who could help. I cant really afford a new system at the mo... again advice either way appreciated...
  2. Hi all I have reset my alarm panel to factory settings (I meant to reset the codes, doh). Can anyone offer advice on reprogramming it? I have the installation manual... any input appreciated. Rich
  3. Hi people, Sorry for the delay in geting photos on. I justwant to be able to sleep knowing that no-one can use the stolen fob to unset the alarm. The 'remote trouble' on the panel came up in engineering mode, but as far as I am concerned nothing has been disconnected, apart from presumably the remote ARC bit of the system by previous owners - perhaps that what it related to? Once again, any input greatly appreciated. Thanks! Rich
  4. Hi again Could anyone walk me through checking if I can remove the fob. I tried using the engineers menus but got a message saying trouble remote (note sure if that relates) with the local siren going off. Could only press no to stop it then could not get back to day mode so had to reset the system again. Please help!
  5. ok great I will have a play with the settings in engineer mde. Thanks to everyone for the quick responses! Much appreciated!
  6. ok so can it or can't it..i have lost the thread of this thread!!!!
  7. yes Mr Happy that's the one! Yes I replaced 4no. CR123's to 2no of the PIR's which were causing a fault (I have never replaced any batteries in the 7 years here). Any instructions anyone would like to hazard a guess on how to remove the fob from the system>..????
  8. Lol to Mr Happy, Peter there was defo a fob, looked like a car alarm fob from way back, used it to set the alarm when going on holiday...took a large watch style battery.
  9. ok thought it might be...I will go through the zones...I have only looked at zone one to try omitting PIRs before I realised I could do a perimeter set....shall I just try entering different zones....2....3 etc...will it be obvious?
  10. Hi there! I was hoping for some advice - my house was burgled recently. Obviously I hadn't set my alarm, an inherited Everest wireless system which is a rebranded abacus 6/14 COM. I am now using it all the time! However, one thing stolen was the remote control fob (mistaken as car fob, presumably). How do I ensure that the fob can't be used, i.e. can I remove it from the system? I have access to the engineering code but can't find any info on the fob anywhere. Everest aren't interested in responding, I have asked about this but they haven't got back to me. Any advice appreciated (wife stressed!)... Thanks for any input. Rich
