Personally i think if you dont have your system linked up to a monitoring station, then you should at least have a dialler imo. Most of the times neigbours etc will not phone the police thinking its a false alarm. At least if you have a dialler you can be informed of whats happened. And either you yourself can attend or phone a neighbour to at least investigate. No point having the thing blaring away and noone doing anything about it. And the Police don't respond to neighbours calling police if an alarm is ringing unless there is a sign of a break-in. morph Posted September 19, 2005 Share Posted September 19, 2005 You could look at something like this GSM Auto dialer Or tackle it another way fit the standard PSTN dialer and fit a PSTN/Cellular interface like the Nokia Premicell There a couple of dedicated SMS/cellular units on the market, but price wise/flexibility these would offer more options.
