Know of someone who put one under his mates bed, connected it to a 7ah and plugged it in to a mains timer socket set for the early hours.

Dont know if its true but bloody hell!

I did this not 3 weeks ago, because my housemate woke me up the Sunday before with his newley aquired air-horn!

Set off a MB yaers ago at an old peoples home as it was linked to a courtyard and garages for the sunshine coach. And when i set it off, i witnessed an old gentleman have a full blown Bowl movment right in front of me. Surfice to say they wanted it disconnected after that.

I can still picture the look on his face when he cried "NURSE"

Doing a maintenance service the other week on a system with my colleague and the customer mentioned something about setting it off on accident a couple of weeks ago and how it scared the shoot out of him. Funny I thought, as there was only the external bell? Opened the panel lid to do the readings and bell hold and saw two extra connections on the + and trigger connections. Thats odd, maybe it's just a relay connection or internal sounder. Anyway, we get to triggering the system (you can tell whats coming cant you) I stay at the keypad while my work mate goes and removes a roller contact magnet from outside... all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. I dive for the keypad to turn it off. Turns out we had'nt seen the master blaster lurking above and on checking the cable list, it was at the top of page 2, which we had'nt needed to look at. Will check them all thouroughly in future. My ears are still ringing

I was fitting one in a customers garage (for 2 cars) once overkill i know but as we all know the customer is always right when he's paying for it. Id just finished wiring it when trusty apprentice decided for some unknown reason to do a bell test. I was about 2 foot away from it on me steps, after the bell test i fell off em and crawled out of the garage. Took 2 days for my hearing 2 return 2 normal. Strangely enough the apprentice never worked with me again hehe

I would like to state that i am not proud of the following story  .

A squad of us were fitting a new system into a old warehouse, on stripping out i found a master blaster. Later on that day at lunch time we were sitting next to our cars enjoying the sunshine with the car radios on.

Now im no music buff, but i have my moments. On came the black eyed peas with "where is the love". The apprentice starts to sing the corus line & i say do you like a bit of justin. Now he didnt believe me claiming it was fergy(the lass in the group) doing the singing.

This argument went on for a couple of hours, so we made a bet for

Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.

about 1 year back, i installed a system in a farmyard buildings. well out in the sticks ARC system fitted by others worked, but time pc plod turned up on his eco push bike all was gone, and it happened several times.

so i fit 6 mb's, all triggered on GJD sensors inside the sheds and also in th yards as they were knicking the vehicle fuel and batteries, no houses near by so the idea was to make it real uncomfy for intruders.

set the system using the code, leave building and waited for it to settle down for a period, then tripped it only to realise the client had left all the alarm radio fobs on the roof of a truck we used for access directly under a pair of blasters - i can still hear ringing in my ears

heres one

went down to this side of london to do a install of a camera and some extra kit including 1 new mb in a casino. so off i go above the roof pulling tha cable from the rio (yes it was a galaxy 504 system) to trigger the mb well fitted spur and mb then went to rio connected to output and off i went to the panel to do a test, now i knew there was another one in the building so pulled fuse out of spur b4 settting the system off, and set of the system.

mb didnt trigger strange i thought so went up ionto roof space and hadnt put the flammin fuse into spur and forot that id left it on test (as bell outside had been disconnected temporarily) wacked the fuse into spur and JESUS nearly fell through the ceiling just as they were about to calkl the numbers. fliipin heck that was loud anyway dashed to panel and cancelled the bell test QUICK AS I COULD.
