Nexus 8 - 2nd Keypad

I've fitted a second remote keypad to a Lynteck Nexus 8 control panel, but need help. So far I have:

1. Disconnected mains

2. Disconnected battery

3. Connected Live and Neutral (NOT Data) of keypad to control panel

4. Reconnected battery and mains

New keypad displays " n1 " (as Engineers Guide states it should), but I cannot set the new keypads address number. Engineers Guide says just press 1-4 and YES and a confirmation bleep will be heard, but when I do this I get no bleep and the keypad still shows " n1 ".

Should I be connecting the data cable to the control panel 1st? or is there something else I need to do?

I'd be grateful for your words of wisdom!

Try connecting the data terminal, the engineers guide doesn't say not to connect it.

You are setting at a different address to the existing one aren't you?

And technically speaking, if you've connected a live and neutral to the keypad I'm amazed it shows anything. ;)
