arfur mo Posted June 3, 2006 Share Posted June 3, 2006 Your network wasn't configured properly to start with, running the network wizard just did something you didn't.You don't need to turn firewalls off, just let local network traffic through. Depending what other firewall you have it may make no difference as some don't allow local network traffic by default. hi Lurch, i have had problems with sharing in the past, when accessing the remote drive getting 'you do not have required permissions blah blah', so i installed netbuei and it cleared it up, it was the same 'trick' i used when i had to get '98 to talk to XP or 2K. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
