Disabling SSID broadcasts on an access point is not considered a valid method for securing a wireless network. Microsoft does not reccomend this practice for any wireless network. Guest Posted February 6, 2005 Share Posted February 6, 2005 A case of extremely bad wording, I wouldn't rely on it as the only means of security but I would always recommend it was turned of as one of the security measures.
