Scantronic 9651 unusual fault

Recommended Posts

Scantronic 9651 alarms even when on installer mode, keypad does not show any faults or fault code, on log menu no fault activity shows, all voltages and tampers working ok, is this apanel fault?

After reset and on user mode alarms. but again no fault code on keypad, again log does not show any faults.

Could be bell/panel or wire between. depends how it's all wired.

If external tamper was linked and bell duff could feedback to internal with no log events, for exmaple.

External bell tamper not Linked.

internal bell is a speaker, i have checked the wires to external bell with a meter and all 5 cores tested ok.

Yes I do suspect external bell but passes bell and strobe test.

Z1 =Front door contact.

Z2 = Hallway Pir

Z3 = Reception Pir

Z4= Dinning Pir

Z5 = Kitchen and Garage Pir

Z6 = Landing and front room Pir

Z7 = Main bedroom and Back room Pir

Z8 = Down stairs Upstairs PA.

yes Alarm, cctv and door entry systems retired now just helping a friend

cool, usual thing of cable, device or controls

if the cable is laid under the boards in a manner its trapped or damaged by a pipe, walking around on the floor above it may send the alarm batshit,

something drawing lots of current, eg too much stuff on small controls may send the alarm batshit

something odd is happening , check all the fuses are the correct rating eg-

some mong may have a 5amp fuse where a 1amp belongs & when it draws too much current it batshits the alarm & does not blown the fuse

with the tamper tied down gently press parts of the endstation pcb to see if it goes batshit

check both continuity of all the all cables & then take them apart & check there is no shorts on every pair ?

or change you mobile no. & find a new friend with a working alarm ?
