Look nice for DIY'ers. Seems a bit on the expensive side for what they are, can buy small metal brackets or 30m of fixy band for that money.

I understand thought has gone into making them universal, but too easy to unscrew and take the device for security systems.

But the op could put a grub screw to lock the unit in place using an allen key type grub

Only suggestion I'd make would be to build them up at the back, this would benefit two fold imo, 1) allowing air to circulate and 2) of it's a breeze wall for instance (like a garage where I keep mine) you're not scratching the unit.

The first version of the design was exactly what you are suggesting, but the biggest problem was that you first need to fit the brackets on the wall and then slide the recorder in and tighten the screws and if you want to install the unit inside an enclosure/cabinet, you will not have enough room to slide it in.  This was the reason I had to change the design.

If you put the recorder legs to the wall, shouldn't be a problem with scratching.
