MrHappy
I have pile of WD Green Power HDD, pulled from some vista DVR's popping them into a windows machine, a handful are recognized with "disk management" but most ain't WD drive utilities does not recognise on of the working drives- However a Hik NVR will recognise the drive(s) & store data on it ? odd... sixwheeledbeast
Being embedded Linux it wouldn't necessarily be NTFS. Would use a Linux live ISO for checking drives like this. What do you want to do with them?

sixwheeledbeast
Well if it works just bung it in and use the formatting tool on the recorder? Windows can't read ext partitions. Would make sense for them to be ext something.
